How does the pre-order process work?
Customers submit a request through the website indicating the products they are interested in.
After the campaign or enquiry period closes, we issue a formal quotation.
Orders are only confirmed once the quotation is accepted and the required deposit is paid. We then place a bulk order with our suppliers.
Do you keep stock?
Most products are supplied on a pre-order basis to keep pricing competitive.
In some cases, limited stock may be available, but this will be confirmed when you request a quote.
When will I receive a quotation?
Quotations are typically issued after the enquiry or campaign closing date, or within a reasonable time after your request is submitted.
When is my order confirmed?
Your order is only confirmed once:
- You accept the quotation, and
- The required deposit has been received
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A minimum deposit (typically 50%) is required to confirm your order.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. Once your order has been confirmed and placed with suppliers, the deposit is non-refundable.
When do I pay the balance?
The remaining balance must be paid before dispatch or collection of your order.
Do you offer free delivery?
We offer free delivery on orders over R2500 where possible.
However, for large, heavy, or bulky items, delivery charges may still apply depending on size and location. We aim to absorb delivery costs where possible, but certain conditions may prevent this.
How long does delivery take?
Lead times vary depending on supplier availability, production, and shipping.
Estimated lead times will be provided with your quotation, but delays can occur due to factors outside our control.
What about large or heavy items like the workbench?
Heavy items may require pallet delivery or freight transport.
In some cases:
- Delivery may be to a regional hub
- You may need to arrange collection or assist with offloading
- A forklift or lifting equipment may be required at your premises
Do I need to inspect the goods on delivery?
Yes. Please inspect all items upon delivery.
Any damage or issues must be reported within 24 hours.
Who are these products suitable for?
Our equipment is designed for:
- Engineering workshops
- CNC and machining environments
- Maintenance and repair operations
Do I need experience to use the equipment?
Basic mechanical understanding is recommended.
However, operations such as tapping can be performed by semi-skilled operators when using dedicated machines like tapping arms.
Why use a tapping arm instead of a CNC or conventional machine?
Tapping is often the final operation and can take up valuable machine time.
Using a dedicated tapping arm:
- Frees up CNC and conventional machines
- Improves efficiency
- Allows operators to “feel” the tapping process and detect issues early
What happens if a tap breaks?
We supply EDM tap removers specifically for this purpose.
Broken taps can be removed without damaging the workpiece, saving time and preventing expensive scrap.
Do your machines work on all materials?
EDM tap removers only work on electrically conductive materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and copper.
Do I need special clamping or fixtures?
Yes, in some cases.
Certain tools or components may require custom clamping solutions. These are the responsibility of the customer to design and implement.
What warranty do you offer?
We offer a 12-month factory warranty from the date of purchase.
This covers manufacturing defects only.
What is not covered under warranty?
The warranty does not cover:
- Wear and tear parts
- Misuse or incorrect operation
- Negligence or mishandling
- Incorrect setup or application
Who pays for returning faulty items?
The customer is responsible for the cost of returning items for inspection or repair.
